I got all my speeding tickets with the Valentine1 and Escort 9500, separate times. Once it got stolen, I havent gotten a ticket since. It gave me a false sense of security maybe. I say go without.

Escort for the GPS. I have a 9500ix and I love being able to lock out certain stationary signals. 9500 has saved me plenty of times.

I absolutely swear by my V1. It's built like a tank, easy to operate with only the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob (along with an outer volume mute control), the directional arrows let you know if you should back off or keep on keepin' on and it has 3 operational modes to suit your driving. I've owned the same unit for 15 years and Valentine Research is fair with pricing if they ever need repaired.

Valentine One is my co-pilot.

That said, I've never tried an Escort Passport Max, sorry.

LOVE my V1. It gives 360* awareness and haven't had a single ticket. Yet...

It really is in my opinion the best unit on the market but you still need to be aware of what's around you. Think you'll find the research is clear and the V1 is way out front.

I have a V1 and it's saved me a couple of times. I like the directional areas the best personally.

There is no choice. V1 is hands down the top product in this field.
