If you mostly want sound do a cat back exhaust. Like Magnaflow or DynoMax maybe Borla.

An air intake will help with sound too. You'll hear more of the throaty intake sound.

Between the two you might pick up 20-25 HP and should be able to get away without a tune or voiding any warranty.

IMO just start with the muffler delete

Here's my set up. I haven't seen many other 5th gens with these. Originally when I first got the car I thought it was a 3" dynomax cat back (bought the car used with the exhaust already on it) but measured it later out of curiosity & saw that it was 2.5 inch piping so I'm assuming it was custom made. Dynomax bullets, x-pipe no resonators.

Before JBA catless mid-pipes(cold start):

Here's an update using Kooks headers an HF cats, Stainless Works Retro Catback system, see my details below.

Best heard using headphones.

I couldn't find a good video showcasing the difference between the magnaflow and the flowmaster super 44 3" exhaust. After making the wrong decision to go with magnaflow (wanted the few extra hp they claim) I went to the flowmaster.

Mods are:
Texas Speed 2" LT Headers to 3" off road x pipe
K&N intake
Had factory NPP (personally liked the sound of the NPP the best)
Now 3" axle back.

Made 409whp dyno tuned with factory NPP axle back.

Keep in mind this is at WOT, the magnaflow was way too quiet unless you were on the throttle. That's maybe 10% of real life, the flowmaster sounds great around 2200+ rpm where as the magnaflow had a bad drone and didn't open up until the higher rpms. Noticeable power increase with both mufflers from the factory NPP.

Hi guys

I'm in desperate need for help here. Going to install my speed engineering LTH headers sometime this week on my camaro (LS3), and my factory exhausts are rattling like crazy. I need to find either an axle-back or a cat-back exhaust to replace my stockers.
The thing is i don't want anything raspy nor very loud, and of course drone free.

I appreciate your help

GMPP (or borla I think s type is basically the same thing without the bow tie on the tips) sounds great, check out my sound clip above your post to hear it. It does have a bit of drone on long trips but it's not raspy at all and is probably one of the quieter and better sounding catless setups ive heard on the LS3. Of course with the name comes a bit of a price tag. They're about $800-1000 new. Check the classifieds section for a used one.

Aaron_W actually i did watch your video earlier, and loved it!

But do you know which GMPP exhaust you have? As I think there are two versions.
Is it 92206992
