Crunchy clutch

So on the way home from ATL to Baton Rouge after a couple aggressive downshifts from 6th to 3rd at 60-65mph, I noticed a crunchy/grinding feeling in my clutch pedal. It doesn't occur every time I press on the clutch, and its pretty subtle, but it definitely feels different. The car shifts fine, and I can still feel it depressing it with the car in neutral. The only time I don't feel it is if the car is turned off. Any ideas as to what this is? Mods in my sig.
