g2 caliper paint fail, fml

So decided to use g2 caliper paint over any other do it yourself caliper paint. Loved the way they came out except that it drips real bad even with thin coats but other than that its fantastic

so since im getting my car dropped tomorrow and it'll be a 30min trip for me, i decided to put the decals on tonight so I wont have to put them on a dirty caliper.

YEAAA FAILLLLLLLLLLL even 3hours after I painted the calipers the vinyl decal completely took off the paint. So upset at my own stupidity it isnt even funny. I think im just gonna find someone to powdercoat it ASAP because i dont wanna go through this hassle again -___-

Once again, this product is great!!! just sucks that i have to redo one of my calipers.

I just painted mine Monday with G2 paint as well. After 4 coats, I put em in the oven for 30minutes to finish it off. Sucks yours chipped like that. But I can relate with the dripping

I'm going to try taking the calipers completely off this winter and do it then.

I have had no problem with my calipers and G2 paint system. Its been about a year since I did them. They stay shiny and are easy to clean.

The way I did them was I took the rotors, pads and clips off then mounted them back on the mounts to paint. The main thing one has to do is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the calipers so as the paint can adhere properly. I washed the calipers with soapy water then my own brake cleaner then the supplied brake cleaner. I put the decals on 24 hrs after the paint cured. I didn't drive the car either until 2 days after it was all done. Wanted to make sure everything was dry and cured.

Also, great color combo on your Camaro

What was the temperature was outside when you painted them? It's hard to tell from the pictures but was the air cold and damp? Good luck, it will look good when finished properly!
