The gains I was referencing in particular came from a CTS, but the few intakes that have popped up so far seem to jibe with those numbers.

Except one that got 19 rwhp at the expense of a slight loss in peak torque... Can't remember exactly which one that one was...

I refuse to believe that a freer flowing intake (or exhaust for that matter) will cause an actual loss in torque. Maybe raising it to an unusable rpm, which is effectively the same thing, but not an actual loss...

If it leans out the air/fuel mixture at that RPM too much, then it could lose power. I'll look up the actual thread where the results were posted.
