Can I put quad tips onto the pypes cat back exhaust?
I'm looking into buying the pypes cat back exhaust for my '14 2ls, but i want to know if ill be able to put the quad tips i bought from ssclones on. or will they not fit because the exhaust won't line up with the center of the npp diffuser?
by the way i found the exhaust for $517 on summit racing. its for the v8 but its exactly the same as the v6 version besides 4.5" tips. |

I just installed my Pypes system on 2013 2LT 3.6L .... I have to tell you it sounds really good, the problem I am having is that the clearances are way to tight where the pipes come too close to the chasis and I am getting quite a bit of chatter ... The pipes are rubbing against parts of the underneath but I bought some insulating pads to see if that eliminates that noise ....

Yeah I just put my quad tip diffuser on yesterday and I have the SLP LM2 axle back and I had a really hard time getting the tips to lineup. The tips are what a lot of other members on here use which is why I purchased these ones. First I tried doing the rear right exhaust tip and it seems like no matter what I did it would basically be touching the diffuser on the right side and then there would be about an inch of Clarence on the other side so it looked pretty stupid plus I don't want the diffuser getting burnt. I'm sure if I go to a muffler shop they can bend my pipe on the muffler that connects to the tips, but I was hoping to just be able to do it all myself

I have the pypes exhaust on my car and ran into the same problem, what i did was loosen the clamps a little, and pulled down on the exhaust enough to tweak it, then stuck a pry bar between the body and exhaust and tightened it and removed the pry bar, turned out great.

I tweaked it like that too but the rattle still existed a bit, but now today, I just installed a "Heat Shield Product" Inferno Shield between the tunnel brace/muffler area and that did the trick ...... no more creaking and rattling ....... yay .......
I really have to say that I am a big fan of the Pypes system and the way it sounds, I didn't think it would sound as good as it does and I only paid $5xx something for mine ..... For the price it is wonderful .... at wide open throttle it sounds so sweet, my kids are even impressed |

Yeah, i didnt want an exhaust that claimed to sound like a v8, so i checked out pypes, i like it, at idle and part throttle it reminds me of a ricer a little, but at wot, it sounds freekin awsome.
