Upstate South Carolina Camaro and Firebird Club

So I met up with Wasp tonight after seeing him and some of his friends driving around Anderson. We got to talking, and thought it might be time to start up a club in the area. Since it is around 125 miles to Charlotte for us and 100 miles to Atlanta, it just seems like it might be time to get a club going in the Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson area. Since we obviously have less people in this area than the two closest clubs, we thought that maybe we should include the Pontiacs as well.

Who would be interested in joining a group that would eventually become a club if we get enough participation. We can schedule events in the area, and trips to both Atlanta and Charlotte as a group if we want to do so. I know there are a ton of car shows in Anderson and Greenville, and I am sure we could take up an entire row/area if we wanted to.

So... who would be interested?

Was great to meet you Devan. Nice car. Glad to see they finally got it fixed for you. There are a LOT of people in the area on this board, so I am hoping we can get a bunch together.

Count me in! I'm currently in the Columbia Chapter of CamaroSouth, maybe we can start an upstate chapter.

Is it just me or there a LOT of RJT's on this thread?

Was good times today. I created a group social group on here for us, so go ahead and join up. We will try to start posting events and meetings to get the word spread. Weather permitting, I plan on going down to Ware Shoals Dragway again next weekend.

How upstate is "upstate"? I'm moving to Fort Mill next month, does that count?

Fort Mill is a pretty good haul from Greenville. You are a lot closed to Charlotte, NC and you may want to look into joining the "5th Gen Camaros of the Carolinas", which does a lot up in that area. http://5thgencarolinacamaros.webs.com/

You are more than welcome to join us as well if you would like.

I'm in the same boat as Jim. I'm in the Columbia chapter as well, but an upstate chapter would be great as well.
