Haven't asked... and haven't heard anything either... Wonder if they are waiting for SCT or Diablo to get their tuners out since they use other company's tuners in their kits...

I don't know if they are in the works for a kit for the V6 but contact Brian@vortech he works at Vortech and takes care of a lot of the R&D over there and can inform you more!

Brian@Vortech is his camaro5 member name so search that name and Shoot him a PM.

no problem man. A v6 with a Vortech would be a pretty sweet set up!

In terms of maintenance, whats better? A turbo or supercharged? Like what has a higher % of breaking down or in need of maintenance?

It would be something like roots blower, then centrifugal then turbo, with roots the least likely to fail and turbos more likely to have problems.

I don't agree that turbos will more likely have a problem, I have 200,000 miles on my Dodge 1 ton, I push 40+ psi boost with the turbo, never had a problem. Exhaust temps get alot hotter (up to 1500 degrees) with a diesel than with a gas engine, so I highly doubt you will ever have a problem.

We have belts on blowers, and there's always a risk of breaking one, or an idler pulley seizing up.

I don't mean that they WILL fail, I just mean their more likely to have issues considering all parts that go into a kit

The issue with a turbo is people don't understand you need to give them a cool down before you turn the car off... You don't want to run you car hard, under boost and then just shut the car off..

That being said was reading an interesting article on the Ford twin turbo Ecoboost... very interesting read...
