Acceleration
So if the gearing is different on the 1LE has the 0-60 dropped from the SS? Sorry if this seems a dumb question but just been wondering since I'm joining the club (ordered last week!)

Hmmm ok, I thought it should have dropped... Nice, looking forward to getting it and testing it! ... Not that .5 secs would be in your face different of course!

When you're racing.. that's HUGE. especially when you're down to in the 4 second range 0-60. That's 11% faster. If you were to have the same gearing, to get that speed, that's equivalent to a power gain from the 426 horse to 472.

I thought the 0-60 was 4.3 seconds? I've never seen 4.7 reported by GM

Also, keep in mind. That's closer to the ZL1's 0-60 then it is to the base SS. ZL1 is good for 3.9 0-60. Only 3/10 second faster than the 1LE.

I wouldn't consider this hugely debated. Who is arguing that the gearing didn't improve 0-60 times It's proven it's quicker 0-60. The only thing that would be debated is "how much quicker" Now, arguing the gearing improves 1/4 mile times is a different story. |

It's in the 2014 Camaro catalog that I have sitting right next to my laptop. Another member posted a .PDF version of it here somewhere. Definitely says 4.7 on both the base SS and the 1LE. Just double checked, thought I might be wrong.

Many have ran this car faster that 4.5 0-60 stock. Not many have claimed to do that with an ss It's had advantages in gearing, traction, and weight Last edited by Msmall143; 11-06-2013 at 08:51 AM. |

A few road test results and not marketing crap. There is a difference between a product overview type write up which is someone just gathering manufacturer details and a road test write up.
