Muffler delete pipe size

I talked to a local muffler shop just a few minutes ago and he said he'd do a muffler delete for $100's and use the same stock tips. However, when the size of the pipe came into question, he said he can only bend up to 2.5 inch pipe and asked me if I wanted to go with 2.25 or 2.5. Any recommendations?I was really hoping for 3 inch pipes 'cause I have future diabolical plans for my motor, but I guess it won't happen... yet. Thanks guys

ahh ok.....check with the San Antonio or Huston guys to see what they recommend. It will be worth yorur while to drive a little farther and get what you want. I had to drive three cities away to get mine done.....Worth it.

No...you'll need 2.5".

The factory exhaust is 2.5" and there would be no advantage at all with adding about 2' of 3" pipe.

If you want a 3" system then buy a 3" cat-back....which BTW wouldn't techically be a true 3" because the inlet would have to be 2.5" to hook up to your factory mid-pipes.
