Wait, or just forget it?

I'm trying to decide if I should just wait to get a Camaro, or just forget it all together. I don't have near enough saved for a down payment yet, looking at a possible move in a few months and circumstances just keep on making me feel like I should just give up on owning one of these cars. And my current car is nickeling and diming me to death with repairs. Ugh.

What about a used car in a few years? I know it sucks not to have new but the stress of supporting a car you can't really afford sucks as well.

well...its a really tough call but if your moving i would say dont get it BUT if you need a new car then you need a new car, dont get stuck in a rut with an old one that costs tons in repairs. i guess i would say go for it, or at least get some kind of new car , you definitely wont regret it

Unless you want to give a complete breakdown of your personal life and goals as well as your finances, no one here can answer this for you.

If you want it and you can afford it - get it. If you can't afford it, this conversation is moot. Just hold off a little while, the Camaro isn't going away for a few years at least.

if you really want this car, id say wait and keep saving so that you can have a nice sized down payment, either on a used one or a new one.

Wait

I know the temptation is great but wait until
you can afford it, you will know when that time comes

i'm sort of in the same boat. fortunately though i currently have a great car so i don't have the nickle and diming thing going on. the temptation is huge and i REALLY want to order my car NOW, but i'm holding off until i have the down payment i need to make sure my payments are the same as they are now with my grand prix. i'm planning on moving next year so i don't want to get in over my head with the car AND a move. i say hold off if you can. it sucks to wait, but if you get the car and you don't have stress about affording it, you will love it SO much more!

You answered your own question. Finance 101, don't have the money, don't buy it. Simple as that kids.

For once I agree with SSOOCH.

You might be moving and you said yourself you don't have the money for the car. Wait and see how the move plays out. If circumstances change and you don't move then look into getting the car. If you do then buy a good used car.
