Pic request: painted GFX - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am asking any of you who have pics of their "Painted GFX" to post them on here. I've been trying to thumb through and find them myself, but not doing to good at locating them. I need the back end pic. I took my GFX to be painted at a body shop and "they" decided that the back end didn't need painted. I took it to them because they had always done a good job and backed it up. Now they say and I quote "Well the back end will turn black any way so we didn't paint it".

WTH!! I told them I paid for the entire GFX to be painted and that's what I want. So they say they have pics of it not be painted.... and I say, well I got pics of them painted. I can hardly take the conflict but I truly wanted the entire GFX to be painted. I paid an extreme amount ($550) because I felt they would do me a good job, but not the case. I can not believe how service is not there to the customer anymore.

I'm so upset, but I'm hoping this make sense and you guys come through for me!

I am not sure what your original post meant. Whether they didnt paint the whole thing, or just the "diffuser" part.

The picture below is how GM DESIGN intended for the GFX package to look. You will find it this way on all their SEMA cars. They leave the area between the 2 exhaust bezels black, and unpainted.

I wanted the "diffuser" part painted too. Do you think that I'm wrong to have assumed it would all be painted when I asked for my gfx to be done? I think they should of at least called if there were questions.

Mine are completely painted and I like it that way!
The dealer did them for me and they don't turn black either...

Originally th GFX were not offered as a painted option (unless the dealership did it specifically for you as an add-on), however now you can order them painted or non, and the painted version, leave the center portion (from the outer edge of the bezels in) unpainted, as pictured in post #4 above... this is the GM design. The completely painted versions were non-GM design.

Overall, I'd think it'd a been more work for them to tape off the center section rather than painting the entire thing, but I'm sure they were just following the GM specs...

Not sure why they did it like that when I asked for my GFX to be painted the same color as my car. I had told them I wanted a one piece look.

Very disappointed.

That sucks....they should have done them all!!....and that price is a good price if it was ALL painted....mine total was $550 from a buddy. Did them all plus a spoiler.

Yep I do believe they should have done them all. We'll see what they say tomorrow. I have put this off since 5/25 - so upsetting, but hey they got pics to show me.
