Agreed. I'm with the people who think the best way for GM to offer a high hp trim (whatever you want to call it) would be to offer all the engine upgrades as a "dealer installed" package in the trunk. So imagine if they made a "Z28 model" or whatever you want to call it, with all the brakes, suspension, weight reduction, aerodynamics, and interior upgrades we've mentioned, gave that a price that reflects those upgrades plus engine upgrades, and then offered a dealer-installed package of engine upgrades for $0.01 or something like that, available only with the purchase of the Z28 since the cost was already accounted for in the base price. I think that would work.

Now with that said, the performance numbers and characteristics that we know for the SS satisfy me. I think I'll be quite happy to get that and not spend extra for a Z28.

Sucks to work at ford.

A bud of mine back in the states went to a ford dealer and showed the GM there the specs on the Camaro V6 & V8. The ford dealer is not aloud to sell Shelby mustangs for what ever reason. Plus the sales for the dealer ship were struggling. Well next door to the dealer is a Chevrolet dealer and they have no restriction on what type of Camaro they will sell. So compile all that with the fact that if the GM can’t boost the sales for the dealer threw the second quarter of 2009 he will be replaced. This is the only thing that I can say for the Ford motor company and the Camaro coming out

that tidbit was given to us by Al Oppenheiser, an engineer who is on the Camaro team and is here in Indy... and he also gave us some information about the quarter mile times that we cannot talk about since it isn't official.

but lets just say that if you were to guess in the 12s, you'd probably be right

Shoot, I can get that .1-2 easily with my planned trio of headers, exhaust, and cold air.

That's kinda like saying a small nail sticking out of the wall is nothing a powder-charge driven stake driver won't fix. I like that thinking.

Brings to mind a quote:

There is hardly a situation that a carefully sized and placed charge of high explosives can't solve.

Oh right . . . 0-60 times
