i think tony went with the boot, and covered his shift plate...my new auto shift plate, gary did as a pkg deal with the fenders..i would def consider getting the 2 stage paint in spray can...it would be simple and you may want to do some other stuff down the road...its like 30.00 for the base and clear coat...and you are handy..problem is 20.00 plus just for shipping both ways, and can be a little tedious...look at staples for the small black letters or make them with a razor knife...shoot the console trim white, add p-r-n-d-2-1, then add clear..2-3 coats...or more and you can wetsand the clear with some 1500 ...just some ideas...i sent gary-georges console trim/speedo/sterring wheel.also mine.i was like 130 for each set..with shipping..somewhere in that ballpark...

Thanks Mike... but I mis-typed, I have the stick shift like you (did), looking to paint that entire plastic piece, including the 4 gauge cluster...
I'm not a very good painter, afraid to even try, lol!

Panels... the following pics show the paint removal process to exend the ABL all the way to the dash: Pic #1- 4 Piece trim kit... with my yellow-ish garage lighting... Pic #2- Close up of inside of panel, near dash- specifically, the "fabric" that helps blocks the ABL from extending to the dash Pic #3- The fabric trimmed away to expose the needed area to sand Pic #4- The "showing" side of the two panels, top= stock, bottom= trimmed/sanded. Note the extended "window" Pic #5- Both panels trimmed/sanded, ready for the light pipes!!!!

Mike - Looking GREAT!! love the oldschool license plate fold down!! speakers in the rear panels should sound nice too....
Kev- I think my shifter surround was around 75-100 bucks with a core exchange... I forgot who painted it... might be able to check through my old PMs and see.. and yes Mike I did go with the boot but instead of just "covering" my PRNDS plate I actually removed it and just replaced it with the OEM manual boot.. cleans it up better imo...
