it's probably about a wash. you get better mileage, but not twice. I used to have a VW golf with a diesel, and it got about 50 MPG. but a lot of that was because it was small, and had little power, 87 HP I think. and now I believe you have to put an additive in it every couple tanks. factor in the cold weather issues and higher cost of repair and ownership and I don't think you'll ever see them becoming widespread.

What would your salary be in the US, more/less/same ? They say your dollar is worth only slightly less than ours yet they make you guys pay like $50K for a loaded SS.

What gives, what makes the price higher. Mostly taxes?

actually, I believe the Canadian dollar is worth more than the US dollar right now. Canada is benefiting pretty well from high energy prices.

Current test in FYA and manufacturers willingness to work with the aftermarket tuners are seeing some vehicles now coming with double stacking and triple stacking tunes from the factory. I can see why FYA technology is not suitable for performance I can see where the idea will lead to something more feasible for the performance guidance needed in gasoline.
Man I hope you are wrong , I heard Europe smells like a diesel field, every car burns it and it makes your eyes sting , and just plain stinks
