People with white stripes!

I don't know if any of you with white stripes experienced what I have but my stripes are really stained and they're not looking white anymore! :/ after numerous attempts of tryin to clean them I have finally found a cure. I found that the mr clean magic eraser really works and the stripes look new again! Now I'm no expert so I hope that I'm not actually doing something bad because it's amazing how it worked.

I may try this, Im very tempted right now to just remove my stripes. Iv already have had enough problems with them. I have a hand full of nicks missing here and there. Then a couple months ago a big chunk almost got completely ripped off but i caught it before it did and I pressed it back down and it hasn't come back up yet. But in the past few weeks iv noticed these dirty spots on them as well so I think that might be the final straw for the stripes.

Might be a decent short term solution, but keep in mind that it is abrasive, so repeated use of it might not be a good idea as you're removing material from the stripes surface.

The best medicine is prevention. Remove dirt regularly. Never let a bird bomb, sap, or other contamination sit for any longer than necessary. The longer it site, the higher the likelihood of staining, etching, discoloration, etc.

Keep them cleaned using only mild soaps and detergents (like our Car Wash since its pH neutral) avoid touchless washes as the detergents used tend to be very aggressive.

Wipe downs with detail sprays and waterless washes are safe.

If you do have a water stain or other spot on the stripes that won't come off easily with mild cleaning you can (as a last resort) use a mild polish to abrade the surface lightly. Keep in mind though that the stripes are not like paint and don't correct as easily. All 3 manufactures of the materials used in OEM and aftermarket stripes (3M, Avery, Oracle) advise against the use of abrasives.

On gloss vinyls you can use a quality wax or sealant product to give yourself some protection, just avoid crossing the edges so you don't get buildup. That is unless you're using an optically clear sealant product like our Quick Sealant as it won't matter.

Dylan, I made sure my matte black stripes were cleaned and applied BG followed by SVRT and.... AWESOME! cleared up the cloudiness. I now get compliments everywhere I go. Nice even finish...
