Hey! the Borla Atak catback sounds awsome!!! thats what i have on my LS3 Camaro. I luv it !!! but the exhaust will only really give you a nicer tone to your cars exhaust!! No one's proved yet of horsepower increase since the stock exhaust flows pretty good from factory. In the other hand the airbox that the car comes with its pretty restrictive and by putting a cold air intake your car would be able to breath better since it will have a straighter flow of cold air and therefore give you some horsepower and better throttle responce without doing a tune!! so it depends what your really looking for! EXHAUST = Sound deeper, nicer, meaner. CAI = more air, cold air, crisper throttle! hope that helps!! do your reaserch n see what you really want!

You will probably end up doing both + more but the CAI is a good place to start and the ADM is GREAT Choice.

Now that Vararam has gotten the kinks out of their system this is the way to go for a CAI System.I bought the CAI after reading all the hype and tests but the Vararam was not in the test due to it's problems at the time, boy am I sorry I did not wait!!
Like I said I bought the CAI and it cannot keep up with the VARARAM. The Vararam its like night and day. Take it from someone who made a $400 mistake!!
It looks like some of the sponsors on this forum who didn't think Vararam was any good now handle them and have big sales on them now. Go with a winner here and you won't have to buy any other scoops like the CAI ($75 more and you lose the windsheild washer bottle besides) nothing but HP!!!! Then look into the exhaust headers and that is another story. Clue--E-Bay

He must have stock.

So what is this "challenge"? If it's HP related in any way, the exhaust will do you absolutely no good unless you're talking about LT's as well. It's common knowledge that there's little to no HP to be found in a aftermarket catback. The CAI is the only thing you mentioned that will make any kind of HP. What LS1 can't you handle?

You should be able to handle an LS-1 quite easily. IMO I would go with the CAI of your choice, as I am sure you will do your homework. Follow up with a resonator delete and exhaust upgrade. After that, get yourself a tune (I am very happy with Diablo's stuff) and you will be running a lot better. Enjoy it

If somebody asked me do I want a CAI or an exhaust system, I'd do the exhaust.
Both add only a little HP, get the one that makes more noise!
