Arrow First Camaro with 6-piston SRT8 Jeep Brembo calipers

First Camaro with 6-piston SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee Brembo calipers.

My motto has always been "go big or go home" so the 4-piston Brembo and 14" rotor was no longer big enough. As soon as I saw the massive size of the SRT8 Brembo and 15" rotor I knew that's what my car needed.
To get an idea of the size of the SRT8 caliper, it measures approx 18" along the curved side compared to the ZL1 6-piston caliper which measures approx 16". SRT8 face is 4" wide vs ZL1 face is 3.5" wide.
The SRT8 Brembo is obviously not made for the Camaro so custom fabrication was needed to install them, but since my father is a custom fabricator that was not a problem.

Wanted to share some photos of the build...

6-Piston SRT8 Brembo vs 4-Piston Camaro Brembo

6-Piston brake pad vs 4-Piston brake pad

Pins and retainer from 6-piston vs pins and retainer from 4-piston

Drilling the correct bolt pattern for the 15" rotors...

Fabricating the custom bracket for the calipers...

Fitting the custom bracket...

More pictures of the completed install coming soon...

My question is how much more do they weigh over either the stock brembos or the ZL1 brembos, as the 15" rotor has got to add an extra lb or so to the weight.

I see the re-drill offsets on the rotors. What is your opinion on the possible "wiggle" or integrity issues around the studs considering the egg-shaped holes?

Obviously being bigger, both the rotors and calipers weigh slightly more. Which may be an issue for those highly concerned with weight reduction but my car already has two 15" subwoofers and 22" wheels so weight concern went out the door a long time ago haha!

Those photos are just a rough fitting, everything has been adjusted slightly since but yes, the re-drill does create a slight oval shape. However, the rotor is hub centric so the re-drilling does not effect the integrity at all.

Understood. Looks great and could be a nice upgrade. I wonder if just a caliper swap can be done (given bracket et al..) and just pick up a 15" rotor with the appropriate hub...maybe a 2 piece wire locked.

Any idea if these fit on stock wheels?
