Giving this shot. Will update tomorrow.
EDIT:
Did it overnight. Didn't notice a huge difference but then again I've just had the car a few days so maybe I'm just not too familiar with it yet.

I'm new to the forum, but I would assume this will work on 2015 LS3 cars? I picked up my 1LE Friday and the salesman damn near filled my car up with 87. By the time I noticed, it was too late.

Pulled mine at 4pm and put them back in. And make it smoother in gear changing. Response in throttle is alot better. Thx for the good tip guys. And yes it works on 2015 ls3

Just did mine and it was a huge difference! The beast was feeling sluggish but I was telling myself it was just because I've become used to the power with the supercharger. Wasn't expecting it to feel any different because I've always run 93 octane. Well apparently at some point I got some lower octane gas beng sold as 93, and the ECM went to the low octane table. She's back to feeling like a effin rocket now!

I've read several comments about this fuse pull trick not being necessary if your car is tuned. Why would a tuner change the low octane table to match the high octane table? This could cause serious damage on a forced induction setup. I like that my tuner kept the low octane table the way it is, for a safety net. Like I said, I have always filled up with 93. Doesn't always mean you're getting 93.

Can anyone comment if this is trick is needed once you have a tune? I got the SCT X4 tune from Dynosteve and he set me for 93 octane. I haven't used anything but 93 since, but before the tune I did fill up once with 92 octane. Does a tune fix this issue or no?

With a tune the issue is fixed.

Read through the first 50 pages and the last 20 pages of this thread. Does anyone know if GM has fixed this issue? I just brought home a 2014 SS with 1500 miles on her. I know the dealer put 87 or 89. My question is ....has the problem been fixed on the 14's? Or is a few tanks of 93 and a fuse pull necessary?

There is no problem with the car that GM needs to fix. You're basically just doing a "reset". This isn't something new or limited to GM.

I understand that the fuse pull does a re-set. I guess we'll have to disagree that there is a problem. IMO if you spend $40k on a vehicle and the computer can't re-set itself to the high octane fuel map without a manual fuse pull.....there is a problem. I was just asking if this issue has been resolved. If it has, what model year? More out of curiosity, than anything. I know the dealer put 87 or 89 in my car before I left the lot. I plan to run a few tanks of 93 through it and do the pull just to make sure it's running up to its potential.

Will this work for ZL1s? I was recommended to do it as I have a sluggish feeling ZL1 with only 3000 miles on it. Should I try it?
