Yeah I don't really see the big deal here. You do what you gotta do. Personally, if there was a way to acceptably hide it (ie without compromising the looks of the car at all), I'd love to put a hitch on mine. It would add a level of practicality to an otherwise fairly impractical car. The car can definitely handle it.

I was at this outdoor cafe once and had my dads jeep with the hitch on the back right in front of the cafe..some girl behind me went to pull out with her pontiac..I knew she was gonna hit it..all I heard was CRUUUUNCCCCCH..lol I smiled sitting down, continuing to drink my coffee.

I swear I love those things..great shield for parking man..wish I could install a big spike in the rear.

Hey, until every car gets parking sensors in the front, we need spikes in front too!

Mind sharing where you got that rack/hitch and how much the setup costs? I was going to search for a normal "on-trunk" rack and then just PRAY it wouldn't kill my car... I miss riding my bike through the trails lol...

As for adding a hitch... I don't see anything wrong with it. If anything, it also adds a bit of protection when not in use from those pesky woman doing their makeup while talking on the phone and driving with their knees who like causing "fender-benders" at traffic lights/stops.

See now, THAT actually looks nice, looks like it'll detach fairly easy when not in use. But a straight up hitch on the camaro is ridiculous. Just go buy a cheap SUV/truck if you really need to tow something, or if you are moving, rent the truck uhauls and not the trailer

Have your local hitch shop contact Curt Mfg in Eau Claire WI.
or contact them yourself see -> www.curtmfg.com

The rack is an off the shelf Yakima that I have had for some time...

PS - This is not a DIY install unless you have a lift

I thank the trailer is awesome. God forbid someone uses their car to do what it was meant to do, move stuff around.

seeee but this MUSCLE CAR was meant to move itself, you, and (if necessary) 3 passengers around at really fun speeds. if it was meant to tow a trailer, it would come with a hitch

Unless there is a NHTSA approved hitch for your vehicle DO NOT use the vehicle to tow anything. Your just asking for trouble.

If it was meant to haul 3 passengers, it would have come with a bigger back seat.
