IMO and experience that is overkill. If the gears are set up right and you drive reasonably (vary the rpms, don't hammer them with WOT runs for the first 100-150 miles) you are good to go. In fact my builder said if they don't whine after the first several miles then they won't whine at all. After 1500 miles of quiet, trouble free driving - he's right.

I drove mine about 20 miles, parked the car let it cool down, went out to dinner with my wife, 5.0 keep harassing me from stop light to stop light, went hard from a roll almost $hit in my pants what a huge difference it made. Oh and the 50 he was just as surprised as I was. I was concerned that I hurt the gears but all is good with no noise whatsoever.

I drove a varied speeds for 30 min, stopped for dinner and relaxed for about and hour, drove the rest of the 30 mins home, let them cool over night and did one more cycle like the first the next day. After that I changed the fluid and let it rip. No issues what so ever.

Got the car back last night from G-Force. Man.....what a difference!!! Now I understand why all these guys say it should have come from the factory with the 3.91s! Car pulls much harder. It feels like I lost a couple hundred pounds in weight. The gears also compliment the cam VERY well. The car already drove near stock before the gears, now it is even that much closer to factory. G-Force even did the job in a couple hours less than estimated and cut that off the overall price they had quoted me. These guys aren't on this forum a lot but they do excellent work. If you are in the Pearland/Houston area, look them up. This is my second trip to see them and they have yet to disappoint. Overall, you cant go wrong with these gears!

Hi all
Who is still running stock axels? With the 3.91's
I have my gears being installed next week. Trying to decide if I put some DSS 1000 HP axels at the same time.
Thanks

Stock axles with my 3.91s for 8,000 miles or so and about 2,000 with the SC no issues and several trips to the 1320. Just watch out for wheel hop and you should be fine. I'm pushing a lil over 600 rwhp with 22s and aint broke one yet.
