I think most 5th gen V8's that are still in one peice will be relatively well kept regardless of its with the current owner or different owner. Take a good look at the 05/06 Pontiac gto's currently, most are on owner 3-4 but are still in outstanding condition.
I cannot speak for the 6's because there is nothing in that time era to compare it to. Most muscle car nuts tend to take great care of thier rides for years to come. On the other hand if you look at a 2001-2002 trans am Ws6 or 35th anniversary camaro ss (both only came in V8 ls1) those keep thier value and most are in b close to new condition. On the 2000 and down BOTH V6 and V8 camaro and firebirds they are pretty much beat to death or on thier last legs lol. Our 5th gens are mass production cars on both the 6 and 8 so best believe we will see a few of both sitting in the feild weathered to death with mix matched panels hood in the air etc (in 8+ years). |

When my son turns 16 it will be going to him if I feel he is mature enough to handle the power. That is about 7 years away or so... not quite 10 years. My plans are to move back into a Corvette at that time or maybe the 6th gen if I like it.

still in my garage, with maybe 60,000 more miles on it. She's a family member now, I can't imagine ever selling it.

I will hit 65 this May, had the girl since March 2010. Too much work and responsibilities and have not had the time to enjoy her properly. Retiring soon and intend to drive her a whole lot more and continue until my wife or kids take my keys away.
