CTS-V 6 pot Calipers on an SS rotor?
Can the CTS-V 6 piston calipers be used on Camaro SS rotors? Either OE rotors or aftermarket rotors (such as Baer Decela-rotors).

I'm 99% sure the answer to that is no. You need the correct size rotor for the caliper.

They will not work, you need CTS-V calipers too. You can find the CTS-V calipers, rotors, pads, and pin kit new for under $1,350 without shipping. You just need to add brake lines and paint. Sell your stockers to help offset the cost.

That's great guys, thanks for the replies. Yeah I know Racing Brake rotors would be the numero uno choice, but I'm not ready to drop $2K on rotors for a car that WILL NEVER auto-cross or race and sits in the garage 98% of the time!
I've seen pictures of CTS-V rotors that have the "hat" painted black and that makes them look super sharp! But I don't like the way the rust forms on the rotor itself and there isn't any way to keep that from happening, is there? |

As others said, you will need the proper rotor for your caliper setup. You can use stock CTS-V rotors or ZL1 2 piece rotors, but there is more to the swap than just calipers and rotors.
We do have a CTS-V conversion package available with everything you need including lines and fluid for a very affordable price. Please feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
