Very nice. I'm itching terrible to do this as well and I have a qualified shop near by that has VVT experience.

Your HP output is super nice and a huge jump from just the typical headers, CAI, and tune numbers. I am a bit surprised that your rwtq isn't higher but that may solely be my own ignorance. My rwtq of 373 came in higher than my rwhp at 367 with my L99. I imagine your car is crazy fun to drive now. The jump mine made from stock was a smile maker. Kicking up another 70 rwhp and 50 rwtq would make my tires cry.

Did you say who you bought your cam through? Mast, TSP? Also, did you do the DOD delete with different lifters and springs? If so, what lifters did you go with? Any idea on what your additional cost of a converter with install and tune will costs?

My current quote to go DOD delete with VVT came and tune is around $2200. I'm wondering what a converter install would roughly add to this number. I've had "bucking" cars before and I'm a bit too old for that now--even at 38 y/o.

What kind of tuning software are you using and how is your tranny tune after the cam? I've read that HP tuners is more tuning friendly with a converter than EFI live and EFI live is what my tuning shop uses.

converter will run you between 700-950 it seems for a good Yank...

Like you fire, I am getting real anxious about doing this. Problem is, If I do it, I want to do it right. That means oil pump and converter at least which will push me around 1100 on top of that 2k.

... not to mention very limited experience in VVT in Orlando. Everyone wants to do the conversion or hangs up on you.

shop around, you can get a converter cheaper than that... I have the benefit of having a well known converter shop here in town:

PTC(Performance torque converters)... they've helped 10.5 Outlaw cars run low 6s @ 225+ and most of the monster trucks on the USHRA series run them, a quality torque converter... it helps that some of my close friends that are gear heads build converters there, so I can get a great deal

I'm torn on stalling the L99 simply because of the drop in MPGs... with the 3200 stall, Ls1 f-bodies lose 3-4mpgs... plus it really does hurt the driveability... no denying their performance on the street, but IMO not the best mod for a daily driver or in my case weekend toy that gets driven often

Yea, I def won't stall unless I go with a cam, and I don't see myself doing anything more than a VVT2.. so it may not be necessary at all.. I have also heard of the mpg loss which would throw me around 13 city.. that stings a good bit, but oddly enough I heard the opposite with driveability. I guess it is the understand that it is easing out surging and bucking... although you are giving it more rpms to get moving.

Hey is this the TSP AFM-2 cam or the TSP VVT-2 cam? I remember ECS saying it would be a AFM cam.
