I certainly wouldn't purchase a car that a salesman was allowed to joyride in.
At a local VW/Audi Dealership here in NOLA, all the salesmen HAVE to drive every model vehicle they sale so they will have some sort of a clue when talking to buyers.

As far as being higher then his paygrade, I know a few car salesmen that make a very nice living.

Ok here the "supposed" story

(sales manager) drives a yellow 2006 c6 w/o mufflers around and thinks he has the fastest car in the world. sales at that place takes out anything fast and dogs it before anyone can buy it.

If that's even remotely true, dude. F*ck that dealership. My salesman and ordering managers said to kids who do the cleaning and moving "you will not touch that car when it arrives. He will move it from point a to point b and he will wash it when it arrives and he will be present for PDI."

Kids face definitely said "damnit!"

The monkeys that did that should be horsewhipped. If for no other reason than ruining another man's dream.

Ok so here is the update. They are indeed selling the Camaro ZL1. It is currently undergoing repairs. Front fascia is off, car is on a lift to see what else is damaged. All 4 rims are damaged beyond repair. 4 new rims/tires already on order. Magnetic suspension was damaged as well as swing arms/axles. It's in bad shape...

If that guy buys it, he better get a hell of a deal because with all that work he could go get a new one that HASN'T been in a major accident.

I certainly would never want that car and feel sorry for the guy who ends up with it. Even though it dont look bad in the pics that car took a shot on all 4 points of the suspension and even when the dealer does "their version" of a proper repair I'd bet that car still wont be right. That thing is no doubt tweeked in many areas.
