Borla ATAK vs Corsa Sport
Thinking about getting a cat-back system in a month or so. Came down to two options. Tired of the quiet yet huge cans. Looking for something loud when I step on it yet not a lot of drone. Well have at it folks! Which one should I get?

BTW I see you have an L99, your going to have drone regardless if you don't get the AFM tuned out

Wrong. AFM sound and drone are 2 different things. With Corsa you'll have zero drone with or without AFM tuned but you'll hear the annoying AFM when it kicks on or off. As for Borla ATAK not having drone, you are the 1st person I have even heard say this.

The borla atak iirc has plenty of drone although get some j pipes and that fixes your problem.

Atak sounds very nice without headers, but with headers get stupid raspy.

I put CORSA Sport on mine. Love it!
But if I had a "do-over", I would go Borla ATAK. Everyone says Borla is loud. Loud is good! |

Would u happen to know the main difference between the corsa sport and the corsa quad exhaust on the ZL1? Thinking about going with the quad set up on my SS but not sure if the tone will be different. And from what I've heard the zl1 exhaust fits perfectly on the SS and that all I would need is a new diffuser while for the corsa I would have to get a new diffuser and quad tips to weld on. Just wanted to know what's the big difference between the two? Does one sound louder? Are they both a catback system? And which way would u go (corsa tips diffuser OR zl1 exhaust & new diffuser)? Thanks!

Thanks for the input! I'm honestly leaning towards the corsa sport!

Plan on long tube headers? They make a huge difference in noise level/drone etc.
Atak with headers = too loud for a lot of people. Atak without headers = sounds just right for most people. Atak - does have drone on an L99 (never personally driven in an L99 with Atak that didn't have drone on the highway. Corsa Sport - very loud with long tube headers Corsa Sport without headers - sounds good - not too loud, little to no drone I would go with Corsa over Atak if it were my car because of the drone issue. But I went with Magnaflow. I think Magnaflow with long tubes sounds exactly how a muscle car should sound. |
