AHH so that's wear some of our tax dollars are going. Great the Govt trying to hack our cars for control interesting.....and scary at the same time. Those guys seemed a lil morbid talking about running over lil kids though kinda should have left it at the stop and go part.

Agreed, that was uncalled for, and the guy said "funnest"... yet he gets a grant from the government! Where the hell did I go wrong?

It`s not so much the Government as it is the DoD and DARPA in this case using our tax dollars to jack cars. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) that is responsible for this technology is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technologies for use by the military.

OnStar cant make your car turn left or disable your brakes to cause a accident, Mess with your fuel level and or Speedo, I bet those guys could prolly make the airbag go off. I know they can unlock/lock track Gps and prolly honk the horn for ya.

What really scares me is how easy it is to hack a car. The ECU manufacturers are like SCADA manufacturers, they think since the system is a closed system they don't have to protect from hacks. Well now we have bluetooth and even WIFI in cars. This will become a bigger problem.
