We just don't want to be seen as endorsing any illegal racing.
It's just a choice our site has made. We'd rather not support it.

I think this is a very pruudent polcy for this or any forum. Street racing isn't the stop light grand prix, many of us fondly remember. THere is a whole sub culture based around big bucks and very risky activities.
The situation around the Chicago Metorpolitan area is very tragic. Several people are killed both "Racers" and innocent bystanders by this silly and dangerous activity. One of the local station did a story on it a couple of years ago. It was rather troubling. If you want to do serious racing, take it to the track. The only person at risk will be yourself.

not to mention, its not the website that should be worried, its those that post the stories. a few guys on my local forum have screwed up and posted stuff online after a night of street racing only to get arrested a day or two later with printouts from the site with their posts about street racing and "avoiding" the cops

Leave the street racing stories to the F&F kiddies. We're adults here. We go to the track.

You got a mouse in your pocket or something?..j/k..."We're adults...we go to the track"
I guarantee out of the 12,000 members on this forum there's a good chunk that has or will do some form of a street race or drive above say......80, 90, 100mph which is way above the limit of any road in America. Even if it's done one time, that's all it takes.

I think it's just because it's the wrong forum right?
I don't think there is a road race ban in either the general or other cars. Correct me if wrong. |
