Car sat for over a year. Healight beam issue.
So I rebuilt my engine and the car sat for over a year.
After getting the new engine back in and starting it up and driving it at night time I realized that my low beams are literally TOO low. Make any sense at all? High beams may be too low as well but can't really tell. |

Did you knock them out of alignment?
When you say low you mean low on power or low as where they are pointed?

Low where they are pointed. They are both equally pointed but seem too low. When I pull straight up the our garage door I can literally see the dark line on the garage door where there is no light shining. And that line is only about as high as the hood.

That's actually how they are supposed to be. The RS headlights are bright enough to blind people if they aren't pointed down

Ok. I guess driving the C6 Vette for a year made me forget. Man they sure are low from what I remember though. I can't see far up the road at all.

I do brake & light inspections at my shop and regardless of whether they are HIDs or not they have to point straight or else they fail the inspection. We have a special alignment graph to make sure the brightness is right... It's not perfectly straight to be honest, but pretty close. No difference in the brightness of the lights though, at least not in CA |

When I'm driving it really is dark up the road even just 60 feet. Seems that way anyhow.

They have a level bubble don't they on the hids? I am probably thinking of my wife's Acura but I thought they had something on the hid's that standard non RS did not have.

Did the new motor add weight to the car, if so its at the nose and that may have the car siting lower in the front and that will afflict the lights, but you can fix it in 5 min (for most members) for you it may mean a trip the the ER.
