For real? Pam? Tape? Cling wrap? it's not that big a freakin deal. Just drive the damn thing out there, give it a quick bath and be done with it. If you care about your car enough to do some of this stuff, surely you have a nice coat of wax on the bumper and bugs will wash right off. As for stone chips, I have 18,000 unwrapped miles on my car and maybe 2 or 3 chips.

People really know how to make something out of nothing.

And finally, to the dude with the bra, those are the WORST thing you could put on your car. The fabric scuffs the paint, if it rains, it traps water, debris gets stuck along the edge and scratches the paint, they flap and could mar the finish. Total waste of money.
Who pist in your Post Toasties?
Some guys are more meticulous than others, if they wanna keep the dings down then more power to em. I do agree with your bra comment tho.

what he said. I didn't click the link previously... the wrap is inexpensive but thin, should work on all but pebbles and larger.

FWIW, the roads here in Phoenix are lined on both sides by decorative gravel that gets thrown onto the road surface and kicked up by traffic. This, combined with the sandy desert along the open stretches here in AZ (and the southwest) work together to really do a number on the front of your car. My black LS started picking up rock chips the first day I had it. This sand will also get trapped under a bra and really do a number to the clearcoat.

So, for those of you out of towners who enjoy a relatively chip free car and would like to keep it that way during your stay in the desert, I would really recommend some sort of protection, whatever that may be.

Here is what my car is getting wrapped in to get it to the fest....

It's 2800 miles, and would take 4 days to drive one way, from my house.

So I guess the road wrap sounds like a good idea

I'm not sure if this question has already been answered?

Is ROAD WRAP available in Canada?

You first.
I use Pam on the inner rear wheel wells and lower rear quarter panels when I take Pumpkin to the track. Wash's right off and does not allow pesky rubber from sticking to stuff after a night of draf racing. Works mint.

Not sure, I just ordered 5 rolls from the States for the CDN Convoy. Google them. They will ship USPS if you ask, so you should be good to have it shipped to CDN.
