are you serious? I thought a lineworker was just screwing around, or storing them there to put on another vehicle or something like that.

Those are brake balancers....you need more front bias on a car that's why the front rotors are bigger.

And FYI I'm totally kidding...lol.

I'm lending it to them for three reasons...the weather here is somewhat less than poopy and I am having them paint gloss black rally stripes on it with the stripe going over the rear spoiler like the one at Barrett-Jackson which I prefer. As well as they are friends of mine and they need to generate buisness as best they can. If it draws traffic to the showroom (and stays clean) until I can drive in nice weather so be it. Or until they get one of thier own.

Thermal ballast. When doing heavy braking, they sink heat from the caliper...

Very cool,

Are you going to have the stripes painted over the front mailslot as well, like on the bumble bee camaro, or just leave it on the hood like the factory stripes? I think if you are paying to have them painted you should DEFINATELY go over the mail slot as well.

Any chance you'd be willing to let us know how much you paid for the painted stripes?

I think there will be quite a few people that want glossy black stripes and will be getting them painted if the black rally stripes from GM end up being matte black - as we've been hearing about lately.

What he said..^^..they are used in racing applications...DO NOT REMOVE THEM!!!!!under heavy braking (like trying to slow down a 4000 pound vehicle in less than 110 feet you need something to pull heat away from the caliper or the caliper gets so hot it boils the brake fluid basically rendering it useless. Once brake fluid boils it is no good and loses its ability to create pressure in the lines over time. Racers bleed their brakes basically replacing all the fluid in the system every few races. You can either have forced air cooling or a heat sink..in this case its the heat sink and it lessens the amount of intervals in which the fluid would have to be replaced. Just imagine driving in heavy traffic and it starts to clear up then having to stop short...and not being able to
