Same thing I said. The black plastic that comes around the spring coil. Make sure that is still there and didn't get thrown in the trash.

And were there any sway bars installed too? Or just the springs? |

swaybar endlink had to be disconnected from the strut/shock during the install and is a common source of noise- make sure they got re-torqued to spec. stock endlink nut is 36lb/ft.

In the rear the spring loops can rest on top of each other. You can put plastic sleeves on the spring to help prevent noise when the spring expands and compresses. Not sure what their called. Coil isolators maybe.

Can you post a picture, similar to this one, but show the coil from the shock bottom up?

I rotated the rear springs 180 degrees and the clunking went away.

Seriously?
They were installed incorectly then. They are supposed to be butted up to the groove like in the pic I posted earlier in this thread. That'll certainly do it. |

It seems to be a problem with the retainers that come with the DSE springs. By rotating the spring it provided more relief between the retainer and the coil beneath it. I am going to call them tomorrow to see why this doesn't seem right. It seems the retainer hangs too low.

I will have to take one tomorrow. It is a metal hook that keeps the top coil from becoming unseated at full droop. Maybe it is needed for these springs because they are 1.5" drop? I'm tempted to just take them off. I'm not planning on catching air anytime soon.
