i have found a leak in what appears to be in the fuel sending line

what is my next step to fix?
do i need to Drain the Tank or can it be fixed with Gas in Tank?
is fixing this semi easy or should i have somebody do it?

Secondly

i have a good alternator and a brand new battery (2nd battery already)

I don't know about the sending unit but for the power drain make sure everything is bolted on to the alternator tightly, yes I know it sounds stupid but I know two people that had charge issues just because the ground needed to be tightened about a half turn more.

It is tough to tell with that pic. But I dint think it can be adressed without draining the tank, unless you can clamp off the lines some how. It may be in your best interest to just replace it as a whole. That's what we did. Actually we did all the lines! What a pain.
