OEM ZL1 Exhaust with shipping to Switzerland
Hi there
I'm looking for an OEM ZL1 Exhaust to install it on my Camaro SS (L99). It has to be OEM, because we have hard street laws here in Switzerland. Otherwise i will not get it street legal. Can anyone tell me which shop ships the OEM ZL1 Exhaust (in one piece) to switzerland? (And also the 1LE Diffusor) Important: with normal shipping conditions. I had offers for 3000USD shipping... cant order an aftermarket exhaust?
they meet all US regulation emission tests. Other than noise pollution they are pretty close to equal |

Why can't you make a few cuts and weld it back up later?

Hi
We have extremly hard street laws. There is only one Aftermarked Exhaust which is allowed (Borla S-Type EG Catback Exhaust for V8 Coupe 2010 - 2013 #1014031). If i cut the OEM Exhaust, they will not allow me to drive with it... |

I'd say your best bet is to get just the axleback with tips, cut off your existing mufflers, have a shop enlarge the pipe opening so that it slips onto your old pipe (as apposed to welding it). That way it looks OEM but you have the ZL1 mufflers. Pipes are pipes, so what's before that doesn't really matter. It's the mufflers that make the difference in sound and/or power so that's what you should be trying to get...not a whole buncha pipe before that that is meaningless. |

Getting it shipped is going to be tough because it is one piece that is about 3 meters long. You are going to have to get it shipped as freightunless you get it cut into a few pieces. My suggestion is getting it cut, shipped to you in a box, then get a really good welder lined up and have him weld it back together and grind it smooth. A good welder will make it look like it had never been cut. -Geoff
