2013 LS to 2010 SS?

Heading to the dealer to look at a 2010 SS 6spd. Thinking about trading in the 2013 LS 6spd... Any reasons as to why I shouldn't other then gas mileage haha? Any bad recalls on the 2010's? or drivetrain issues?

Thanks for the input!

Only issue is your attachment to your ls. Obviously make sure you get a good deal though.

Other then the steering wheel and suspension, I say jump on it if its an excellent deal.

Whats the Mileage on the SS?

The only downside is age..your getting an older car without warranty as of this year.

Have the dealer pull the maintenance history on it and verify all the TSBs for 2010s have been fixed. I know there were a few problems from that year that were corrected by the time later models came out. Remember a 2010 can be as old as 2009.

And a 6 speed doesn't mean anything, both manual and autos are 6 speeds. I'm guessing you mean the LS3? If so, check for the 2nd gear grinding issue. Search on the forum if you're not familiar with the symptoms.

If it were me, I'd want to know if the engine was tuned. If the guy that owned it de-modded it for trade-in, and it was tuned for those mods putting stock parts back on for the trade-in may mean it doesn't run optimally. They should be able to hook their computer up and see in a matter of minutes.

I would say do it. Right now I'm having buyers remorse for getting a 2012 1SS in an automatic. I really want a manual. Now I see 2010 2SS in a manual for under $20,000!!!.

Its got 56k miles and they want 24k for it. Gonna try to get them down to 20k. Its in really good shape. Think 20k is a good deal or?

I love my Camaro but these cars are soft in holding value right now.

If you pay over 20k your paying way to much. The car has miles on it.....

Never been in a v6 camaro before... but I can tell you that there's nothing like an SS! Of the 3 generations that I've owned, the 5th is by far top notch in my book!

24k is way to much for that many miles. That price should be about 20k or less, try looking around to see if you can get a better deal don't try to jump on the first thing you see. You will be surprised on what you can find when shopping.

I went from a 2011 RS 1LT auto to a 2010 2SS Manual.... I assume mine is a later 2010 model because it's white, doesn't have chicklets, and has reverse sensors but it's been rock solid so far. Well, it currently only has 15,000 miles on it, lol. You will notice a harsher ride on the 2010 SS over the newer V6 for sure. The 2012 and up SSs are more forgiving in suspension (I test drove every year, new, used, auto, and manual). I HAD to have the inferno orange interior so I decided a used 2SS with low miles over a new 1SS. I say go for it though if you don't mind the amount of miles on the car. Personally I try to stay under 20,000 miles on newer used vehicles with 15,000 or less being real good finds.... I got my 2010 last summer with around 11,000 miles on it I think...
