Check the fuse pull mod http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38964. It helps out L99s that are running on the low octane tune map. It could help out your sluggish performance. Best mod is long tube headers. Search around, they're a bunch of different choices. Guys usually pick up 20-30 rwhp from long tube headers. The most popular LT headers are ARH and Kooks, but there are others like Pacesetter that are less expensive. If you're really short on cash you might want to go with ADM's race pipe. Guys are seeing pretty good results for cheap dollars. |

lots of brands to choose from a quick will answer all your questions
for headers the most popular are Kooks and American Racing for intakes there are so many to choose from, just find one in your price range. i have a Late Model Racecraft intake for sale here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74627 for exhaust there are also several to choose from but the 3 most popular would be Corsa, Borla, and Magnaflow

thx for the info. My L99 was not that early built so I don't know if the fuse pull still applies. What do you think of GMPP exhaust, headers and AI? |

I wonder whats the difference between 7/8 and 3/4. It says that the 7/8 is for 550 hp+ systems which mine is not even close to that. and perhaps Diablo Predator or Trinity for tune? (will that get rid of AFM?) |

for a tune, if you cannot find a reputable dyno tuner within driving distance to you, the diablosport programmers can disable AFM, but you will need to request from them a custom tune to disable the O2 codes that the headers cause

The fuse pull still applies to cars that are built today.

The GMPP headers are shorties (not long tubes) and cost more then a good set of long tubes do. The GMPP axle back costs twice as much as a good aftermarket axle back. And the GMPP intake has been scrapped due to putting out no gains and there is no telling when it will come out or how much it will be. |

Checkout the TSP cold air & header/exhaust system. Its a complete package from the header all the way to the tips & is priced at lower than most companies headers & x pipe only! Add the TSP cold air & you have a proven big hp package at reasonable pricing.
Here's some results examples I found: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/2010-c...speed-inc.html Pics: |

Do headers Void Warranty?
An intake CAI doesn't effect computor and adds about 15hp. An axelback which is cheap can add 10hp. |

Exhaust wise, i went with the Magnaflow cat back. Part number 16580. All i can say is i love it!! The car sounds amazing and i love the big tips in the back. I got it through JDP motorsports. They have great prices. The best i could find anyway. I am very happy. As far as intake i went with ADM race intake. Its being delivered today. I got that through Apex motorsports. Should be getting it intalled on Thursday. I hope you find what your looking for. : ) Im not sure if header will void warrenty.. I was wondering the same..

An intake DOES effect your MAF and your computer. What parts of the car do you think adjusts the fuel trims and tells the injectors to increase fuel flow to compensate for the increased air flow? An axleback does NOT add hp nor tq. It is strictly for sound only. A catback can increase your hp by 5-10 but an axleback will not. |
