DIY afterburner LED lights bc i'm poor

I really want the LED style tail-light achieved by the after burner kit

BUT i really cannot afford it.

Instead I plan to buy:

1. flexible white LED strips ($6)
2. wiring (can get from friend - $0)
3. dremel (can get from friend - $0)
4. exterior grade silicone (home depot I guess - $5) (can get gun from friend - $0)
5. blue masking tape (have lots already - $0)

$11 and about 1-2 days of no Camaro, to let the units set/dry/seal properly

so ya ANY WORDS OR ADVICE/ADMONISHMENT?

It seems simple enough, but please let me know what you think!

Good on ya for being creative. Take lots of pix and make a DIY when done (if it works out OK).

LoL - thanks....idk i just have to figure out which wire to splice into to get power as a daytime running light/on as long as the car is

I plan on putting in a super simple back up camera and that requires splicing into the reverse light, but what wire do i splice into for these DRL led's?

Are you going for the ACC style afterburner or the Concept afterburner look?

I don't want to step on ACC's toes, but yea - their Audi-esque running xmas lights look.

Except I dont have the $ for the set-up
