Volt Revealed!

Apparently the Volt was revealed to "the internet" earlier than it's official unveiling.

It looks really good. I'd use that as a daily driver.

Hell yeah, because what I want to watch after reading announcement of new Chevy are some guys in glasses from GM, with car in question being the blurry background :(

Just like the Camaro, they took a really exceptional concept and watered it down

It happens with 99% of cars. Your point?

Nothing has been watered down on the Camaro. Not a freakin' thing.

OKAY.

FOR THE LAST TIME...

The Volt concept was as aerodynamic as a brick. If it went into production, its electric-only range would be much, much lower due to all the drag and wind resistance.

So A) Water down a concept, still have it look great, and get 40+ miles without gas...or B) Keep the concept, have a massive drag coefficient, watch the car's electric-only range drop massively, and have it fail horribly sales-wise.

Come on people. Open your eyes.

I really wish it didn't look like a Prius, but whatever, I guess that's how people will know it's electric.

This will bank millions for GM. Then they need to give us a Tesla Roadster-like Corvette.

So your saying its ok to produce a concept that looks like a corvette but the production car is actually a GEO? Come On, a little tweak here and a little tweak there, here a tweak there a tweak... i think gm could have done alot better with this.

LOL you're kidding right? The Prius is $25k and it sells like hotcakes. The Volt is on a whole different level than the Prius. It's new technology and it WILL sell even if it's $40k. You're talkin about a car that will use no gas for most people who buy it. It will blow the Prius out of the water. You don't have to worry about a dead battery like other electric vehicles because it has the option to run on gas if the battery gets too low. It's different than anything out there and GM will sell every last one of them.
