The pics are of a copy, The real ones have never surfaced. It is surmised that they were either crushed or de-zl1'd and sold as regular big block camaros through dealers. Perhaps as L-78 cars who knows? Its still a mystery.
Oh and its Piggins not Piggens by the way...

Very rare for any prototype of the era to escape to the real world. Often experimental equipment and bodywork meant they could never be insured. Prototype ZL-1s might have made it, the single 1970 Buick GSX prototype documentably made it (if you're reading this Brad, I still want your car), I never heard of any others escaping the crusher

Is that the actual car or is a repro? The reason I ask is because the rear wheels aren't as wide and it doesn't have the same exhaust as the car in this picture, which is the real deal.

Does anybody know where these Tribune cars got their ZL1 grill badges from I'm interested in making a ZL1 should you cover myself I even made my own Copo badges before I attempt to make my own grill badge I just wanted to know if one's available thank you
