LS3 Owners: What RPM Range Is Best for Everyday Driving?

So I did a quick search (maybe for the wrong terms?) but didn't find anything as of yet. What does everyone keep their tach at during typical driving? I ask because my dad's always kept his Porsches at 2K-3K during a regular cruise, but (to me, at least) the LS3 sounds like it's ready to shift before it gets to that point.

What level is ideal? Or is it all personal preference?

I shift around 3500 just cruising around. Average around 19-20 mpg.

You can let it burble along at 1500 if you want. The Camaro probably has more torque at that speed than the Porsche has at the 2-3000 your dad cruised at.

Thanks! Is there a "best" range where you want to let it sit? Wouldn't your best fuel efficiency be just shy of 2000 rpms or am I just wrong about that?

Hard question to answer since it is somewhat subjective.
What might be an ideal cruising rpm for me might be ludicrous
to you and vice versa.

How about for fuel economy? What's the best for that? Wouldn't it be basically as low as it can get without bogging down the engine?

I usually shift when it gets to the red part on the tach....j/k. 2-3k usually works for me if i'm just cruising

That's about where my needle rests, so I'm curious about this, too. Is a different range more fuel efficient?
