Cam suggestions

I have a 2012 Camaro ss. Ls3 6 speed manual transmission with cai, headers and muffler delete. Anyone have any recommendations on a good cam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, I just got a cam installed on my car. I went with the Brian Tooley Racing Cam Stage 3. It put down great power and awesome torque. If you want to meet up send me a PM

I also run the BTR 3
I always recommend keeping intake duration in the 22X* range for a street car.
My first cam was the Lingenfelter GT1 with 218* intake duration and made for a great street cam too that I ran with the stock LS3 springs.

I can attest to the Lingenfelter GT1. It can get a bit bucky at very low rpm in first, but that's easy to figure out and drive around.

Many threads on that on this site, not opening that can of worms and ruining this thread (lack of proper heat treatment issues in which the cams started to come apart) lol

I just stay clear of comp cam cores.

Fair enough, I bought mine from Bo with about 30k on it and it looked just like the factory cam that came out. Must have been a good core I guess.

I've had a BTR stage 2 cam installed for about 2k miles now on my LS3/M6. Only gripe I had was while in line leaving a concert, the car just doesn't like to go slow!

BTR stage 2 or 3 would be the one I suggest. Solid cam from BTR that we use in our packages!! Let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

BTR is great I'm just biased towards GPI, personally don't think anyone makes better cams than them. At least for the Auto, perhaps LS3 you could roll withy BTR. I have an SS4VVT from GPI and drag every BTR cammed car I've ran, that could also be in the tune. But GPI down in Arkansas is my suggestion, Ryan is a monster and Aaron is extremely helpful.

I'm biased towards GPI too if I didn't go with a GPI cam I would've went BTR stage 4.
