Was going to order a '13 this weekend until...

Until I found a barely used 2010 IOM 1SS w/ light upgrades (gauge pack installed, hurst cueball shifter, black rally stripes, body color heritage grille) Only 9,000 miles.

$28,700

Seems like a really good price for such low mileage.

I was planning on spending about this much on a brand new '13 1LT/RS. Now I am thinking this might be the way to go. Only thing not entirely ideal about the 1SS is the lack of the RS package. Still, for the mileage/price .. it's tempting.

Opinions?

Oh, and they just so happen to have an '11 1LT convertable with sub-7k mileage for $26k ... apparently they move a lot of used Camaro's to be able to advertise those prices. That one almost seemed to good to be true, but it's a regular old Chevrolet dealership... not a fly by night buy-here-pay-here dealership.

Too much for a 10 1SS without the RS package.

The mileage is really low. See if you can get them to $27,500.

RS package only adds about $750 to the value on a used Camaro.

It's at a dealership about an 1hr30min away or so. Their website indicates they use something called "Tru Pricing" which means no negotiating at all will be possible and that they advertise the "absolute lowest" price.

I thought with used cars there was always negotiating, but apparently that's not the case here.

Ugh, there seems to be a real lack of any deals in my area with this car. Stealerships be over charging for everything I seem to find. Kinda getting tired of trying to find a damn deal.

It's my Camaro and I want it now! LOL. The search will continue!

Can't afford a '13 SS, so it would be a 1LT/RS. I am still strongly considering it. I just am afraid I will get the upgrade bug like everyone else here seems to get LOL.

RS is a must. I paid $28,000 for my 2010 2SS/RS with 24k miles.

Well, I am playing the car dealership game, so if you don't mind me asking ... what was the asking price of your 2SS/RS? I am not very experienced in negotiating big $$ items, but it'd be nice to know on average how much lower I could expect/try to ask for off the asking price.

Basically, I know edmunds and kelly blue book offer up some ballpark #'s but they seem high when I see folks like you getting great deals on very respectable rides.

Imo, I would take a 2010 SS with low miles over a 2013 1LT anyday.
The cars haven't changed much in the looks department over the years so I'd want the extra horsepower.

I agreed. I went for it. 26699. 1SS. No rs package but I can smoke the tail lights myself, the 20" came standard, spoiler was installed. Basically just the halo lights im missing. Plus it has the heritage grill, hurst shifter, and the 4 gauge cluster which made up for it. Wasnt able to finish the paperwork but im so happy and excited.
