Wrong colour!

For the last week my car "bumble bee" looks like it has a fuzz green blanket moving on him!
creepy like Armageddon is coming?!

Well turn's out it's just aphid's resting on my car, so I look up "how to get rid of aphid's" ... Web site's state too keep aphid's off plants put a bright yellow piece of paper under a clear pie dish full of water the aphid's will be *attracted to the color* and drown in the water, or spray with effected plants with insecticidal soap ...

Can't see myself filling pie dishes with water to put on the car, and leaving soap on him is out... So I guess I'm screwed till they die!

Any one else have the same problem?

Bugs really love Rally Yellow, not just aphids...learned that years ago when I got my 04 Cav. I'd wash it down real nice, and not a minute later bugs are all over it. Fully expect to have the same problem when I receive my '13 1LE (hopefully not too much longer!), hahaha.

Let me know if you come up with a solution!

they are likely attracted to your car because its yellow so the pie dish idea wont help much but set it near it, it may kill a few.

Buy a bunch of lady bugs? Their favorite food is aphids. But then you'll have a bunch of lady bugs so you need to buy something to eat those, toads or stinkbugs, but then you'll need something to eat the toads and stinkbugs...you can see how this goes right? Just leave it alone...

Blame Chevy for actually selling bumblebee versions.

Yellow Jacket is already trademarked by Dodge.

And yes, bug love yellow. That's why I park mine indoors.

I have a buddy who has a bright yellow, custom Studabaker and he uses a fake salamander on his during car shows to keep all the insects away.

I thought he was full of it, but it works!!!

^^^that's awesome that actually works!

I don't get them too bad, but I do get small insects attracted to my red car right after I wash her. Also bees like to buzz towards it, and me because my red hair. >.<

Ya know they called the 69 camaros that were yellow and black bumble bee also. Ya know. Cause they look like a bumble bee. Ya know. The insect. Decades before a cartoon was created. Decades before a movie was created based on those cartoons. That happened to have a yellow car. That happened to eventually be a camaro.

So true. I have to shoo the little bastards away while trying to dry off the car.
