New Hurst/B&M Paddle Shiffters 2010 SS

OMG what an improvement. As alot of you know me, this car is my driver as well as a track car. I have been using the "tap" shifter since I got the car and have enjoyed it to a point. Was not very convient on the track unless it was straight line (and for drag Ill let the computer shift for me). I have been very anxious to get these since Hurst/B&M teased us with them last year at SEMA. Well they are on and let me tell these are a must if you have an L99. Kenji installed them in about 30 min with adjustments. Let me say right away there is NO interferance with the hibeam flashers or the windshield wiper. The only thing is if you are pushing your menu button to check any functions while you are driving (which I would question the safety of that anyway), you do need to sliglty adjust the steering wheel for that. I am also a big guy and have no interference with my legs getting in or out or driving.

The operation is very smooth and requires even lighter pressure than if you were using the tap button. It is nice to be able to keep your hands in their proper position and be able to perform the shift. I have had them on for several days now and the car has been out in the hot sun (So Calif). I have not notices any change in the position of them at all. I do have the new pads on as well that were actually recomended from one of our Camaro5 members. But, they did recomend I keep the allen wrench close by just in case so I put it in the arm rest. Oh, also I have not noticed them getting hot to the touch.

I am very impressed wih the overall quality and design of this item. It really compliments the steering wheel, which you will notice is the Grant Revolutions (I have the optional Derlin paddles as well which I will out on later). They did a fantastic job, took their time and nailed it. GM should have put this in the car to begin with and hopefully they will soon.

I will do a video of the operation as soon as I get a chance.

Nice I like I've been waiting for months. But I would like to know if you have any problems with the 2 arms for windshield washer and high beams levers?

I love this product, this is one of my best mods I have done so far, easy to install and functions great. I have no problems with the directional and wiper arms/ I think the car shifts better now then it did before.

Don't mean to jack your thread - but here's the Line Lock info: http://hurst-shifters.com/NEW-PRODUCTS/ROLL-CONTROL_2
(I've got this on my Camaro and it works great)

click on the PDF instructions for further details.

... and start saving for new tires

In my opinion, and after installing mine, the signal lignt and wiper water lever, touches the paddles (when going for the high beam and when cleaning the front glass with water), on another point, you can't shift properly if you don't press the paddle right in the center.
