New England Camaro5 at RICOA
June 30, 2013. New England Camaro5 makes a giant Chevy bow tie with 50+ Camaro's, then heads to the Rhode Island Chevy Owners Association All Chevy Show where for the fourth consecutive year we win Best Club Participation award! NEC5 along with RICOA is proud to support "A Wish Come True".
A Wish Come True, Inc. is a local nonprofit organization founded in 1982, granting wishes to medically qualified children ages 3 through 18 who have a life-threatening illness and live in Rhode Island and areas of southeastern Massachusetts. Despite the threat of rain and thunderstorms we counted 63 Camaro's at the mall photo shoot and even more at the show (we had eight long rows of Camaro's at the show). Thanks to the management and security at the Emerald Square Mall in N. Attleboro, MA for once again allowing to use their parking lot and garage roof to take pictures. Almost finished parking cars  CT 5th Gen was out in force, they are also a big part of NEC5.  Some of the group watching the bow tie come together.  We had members from all six New England states! It began to look like the holding yard at Oshawa!

WOW! What a day! Another fantastic showing from New England Camaro 5 at the Rhode Island All Chevy show. With 60+ cars rolling in, all at the same time, we certainly make an entrance. And, of course, we took the trophy again.
Once again, I got a lot of help from a bunch of people. We would not have been able to make the awesome Chevy Bow-Tie if it wasn't for the assistance and patience of everyone involved. And it actually worked!!! How cool is that? I hope everyone in attendance had a good time. It was really, really hot and muggy today, but it didn't rain, which obviously helped our cause. I was able to get a picture of 48 members with their cars. I'm sorry to those of you who left early before I came around with my camera (and Tessa came around with my clipboard). If you have pictures, please feel free to post them. Thanks everyone! my EDIT button The Chevy Bow-Tie Those of you who know us in NEC5 (just take a look at our signatures) know that we GO BIG when we go to this show. For the past three years, we've lined up the cars into some really great layouts, from our simple CV (C5), to our spelling out "NEC5" to our Circle-5 last year. This year was no different - We did the Chevy Bow-Tie logo! And we organized by colors! The final result is, once again, EPIC!
