Finally have some progress on my painted stripes

This is the first part of my build.
CGM - Stripes
CGM -Wheels with clear powder
CGM - Badging
RJT - Heritage grill
RJT - Concept side markers
RJT - Shark fin antenna

My RJT 1LT RS is getting the SS fascia, Heritage grill and painted stripes. The stripes are CGM. The whole front end, deck lid and rear bumper are getting 4 coats of clear and my painter is going above and beyond and adding 2 coats of a "show" clear on the hood.

A few teaser pics....

Am I missing something here...show clear???
Also, keep in mind,if your painter tries to "outdo" the looks of the finish compared to the rest of the finish on the car the two finishes will clash.
On mine,my painter did not go overboard on the clearing and cutting in an attempt to closely match the rest of the factory finish to keep it all one uniform look.
As bad as the GM finish is that is what you want to replicate in the end. Make the stripes the focal point not the whole hood and trunk lid.
