Vynil stripes on MPD-1 Spoiler?

Hey guys. I noticed that no one that has an MOD-1 Spoiler that has stripes on it has vynil. Is it even possible to do because of the arch to it?

It is possible, I had it done. But you cannot use the pre cut stripes. They have to be custom made. Mine are made of 3 separate pieces for each stripe. The piece along the outside that covers the side, then a second piece that covers the top of the scoop from the windshield to the front edge, then the third piece that goes inside the raised ridge from the frontof the hood to the mesh screen in the scoop. Then there's the pinstripe along the edge of each piece. So for both stripes, you will have six pieces of vinyl and six sections of pinstripe. I'll try to get some close-up shots later today do you can see how they fit together.

I know of a source who has done it. I thought you were painting your stripes on?

It was $80 (vinyl and labor). The curves were tricky, but a good vinyl installer should be able to take care of it.

Uh, yeah. I saw Vinyl and MPD and wasn't awake enough to register the difference between hood and spoiler. Sorry.

The curve of the spoiler is the tricky part. I had my stripes painted on and when they laid out the stripes they said that was the most difficult part to make it look right. This guy does this for a living in a big shop locally and he said he was VERY glad I decided to do painted stripes and not vinyl.
