Anyone here besides 5thGenV6 still running two non-foulers? I know PoorMan and OUR BEE were at some point (IIRC) Guess someone else just needs to run to the dealership!

I'm thinking it likely wont fix the problem, but then again, its worth a shot.....maybe???

OUR BEE - its worth a shot to head down to your local dealership and ask if they can clear the codes for you.. maybe it will work

and yes clearing the codes is the whole issue lol

How many miles have you gone without a CEL ? Did your dealer do any updates to your module besides for just adding the fog lights. It is hard to believe that clearing codes in all the modules solved your problem. I am more interested to find out if there is some kind of update to the PCM when they re flashed your vehicle. Manufactures come out with updates all the time to fix common problems with vehicles.

Cold weather sets them off too.

It was something like: "By reseting trouble codes please keep in mind that they are stored in different modules....and you have to reset every single module"

Yesterday when I was reading the manual of my new diagnostic device I found another interesting information:

"... Pressing the 'Clear All' button sends a request to the ECU that all trouble codes be cleared. But ultimately, the ECU decides if a code can be cleared. Under certain conditions some codes can only be cleared by a series of special steps or special vendor specific commands..."

I would say this is another information which supports our thesis.

BTW: My 4 spark plug non-foulers were shipped yesterday. Will keep you posted.

Good to hear! Recieved my 4 non-foulers last week. I'll try the whole procedure in two steps:

1. Installing all 4 non-foulers + clearing the two DTCs with my scantool

...if this doesn't keep the CEL away (Well I don't think it will):

2. Go to my dealer. He will connect his mdi and clear the codes in the correct module/s.

I thought so. It was fairly warm when I installed my Solo HFC, ran for 3 weeks almost 1000 miles with no cell, then first cold day we got , boom a cel, running rich, had it cleared chk'd connections then boom two days later, running lean, spoke with Vince at trifecta and he mentioned in an email to me its not the HFC per say its the catalytic converter as a result of the HFC. In any case I bought the tune and will be installing today hopefully problem is solved

Quick question.

Has anyone tried to replace high flow cats with universal conventional cats (Not high flow)?

If O2 sensors only measure that cat is ok. Should normal cat fix problem?
Sure it would restrict exhaust...
