I was shocked when test driving, had to ask the dealer over and over if this was really the 6cyl.
This V6 is full of power!!!

They're a cosmetic gimmick. None of them offer any real-time relevance that you must divert attention to them with any regularity. |

Last year they changed their test procedure and calculations. EPA numbers now represent an average driver pretty well. Many people will beat the EPA numbers without trying.

Probably why they did away with the torque guage? I'd probably crash at least once while watching it climb

the EPA estimates dropped about 3-5 for most cars...which is that amount that you used to have to subtract from the sticker. they should be fairly close to bang on now.

I know the Edmunds editors average about what the EPA says for their LT fleet, and they're lead footed and drive in LA traffic, so if anything the EPA numbers are pessimistic. Then again, if you're not lead footed with the Camaro then you're not doing it right.
The 4 pack gauges are purely cosmetic. Good to check at a stoplight, but I doubt anyone in their right mind would look at them while driving. They sure do add some nice detail to the interior.
