Camaro Logo Front Emblem Bumper Removal 2001

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of selling my 2001 Camaro. How do I remove the front emblem (circled in the picture)? Does it rip off or pry off with a screwdriver or do I have to remove the bumper to get to it? What holds it in place? Thanks!

is just stuck on with tape. probably heat it up with a hair dryer and use a plastic pry tool -- or very carefully with a metal tool -- but make sure you put a towel or something on the paint to avoice scratches...

but -- if you remove it you have a little indent that will look funny. the bumper is not flat under that emblem.

I may be missing the point -- but if i were looking at buying, i'd wonder why the emblem wasn't there... unless you are replacing it with a new one.....

Even heating it may, or may not, work and you'll end up peeling some of the paint.

yes, be extremely careful when using heat. one of the reasons i suggested hair dryer and not a heat gun. but both can do some damage.

It may be better to try the ole fishing line trick and floss it out if you really want to take it off...
